B-geO Magnolia Miles 2011 Check Presentation to the Magnolia Area Chamber of Commerce
Holy Name Retreat Center in Bunker Hill Village, Memorial, hosts an annual bike ride, B-geO Magnolia Miles. The ride featured three routes in 2011, and 1, 018 cyclists pedaled their way through the beautiful Magnolia countryside on Saturday, March 19, 2011. The ride is a BP MS 150 recommended ride.
The ride benefits Holy Name Retreat Center and the Magnolia Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC). The retreat center presented a $7,500 check to the MACC at their monthly luncheon in June.
Volunteer Appreciation
A Volunteer Appreciation Party was held on May 19 for the B-geO Magnolia Miles Bike Ride volunteers. This was the most successful event to date with 1,018 cyclists on the road traveling through the beautiful Magnolia Countryside this past March. All proceeds from the ride benefit the Magnolia Area Chamber of Commerce and the Holy Name Passionist Retreat Center.
Title Sponsors were Bill Berger and Bill Berger, Jr. for Berger Geosciences, LLC. The event was catered by the Blue Iguana restaurant in Magnolia.
