Following the teaching of the Prince of the Apostles, and that before everything else holy charity may flourish in the Congregation, especially toward the poor sick, we ordain that these are to be cared for with all charitable attention to the extent that our poverty permits.   —St. Paul of the Cross, May 20, 1775

Many members of the Passionist Community are engaged with serving the poor, marginalized and suffering members of the human community. This aspect of our charism flows to us from our founder St. Paul of the Cross. While preaching and retreat ministries are the primary apostolate of the Passionist Community, we were instructed to serve the poor from a mandate by our founder.

There are a number of ministries that the Passionist lay and vowed community do to express this call to charity. Below are four ministry programs that exhibit some of our social ministries. Please read more about these ministries and consider how you might partner with us, either through volunteering, prayer or financial support.
