Conscious of being part of the wider world-community, we recognize the need to collaborate responsibly with people of good will everywhere in pursuing all that is true, noble and just. ~Article 69, Passionist Rule

The Passionist Community is an international community, serving in 59 countries around the world. Since our founding the mission of the Community has been to preach to all nations the message of God’s love as experienced through the Passion. We remain committed to addressing the suffering that humanity and the world experiences.

Globalization has added a new dimension to our international involvement. Because of globalization the world economy and political systems are interrelated, sometimes producing wonderful effects like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. However, adverse realities like the gap between the wealthy and the poor also exist and are widening.

Because of these global interrelationships, the Passionist Community works at promoting solidarity throughout our international missions.

“Solidarity” is the chosen word to describe a new way of being together as Passionists in the mission for the life of the world. New realities call for ‘new’ responses in faith… Solidarity calls us to a profound conversion of mind and heart. We grow in awareness that life is a gift to be shared.
