Commitment to JPIC differs from Social Action or Social Ministry in that it involves a way of life which leads to JPIC becoming and integral dimension of all our activities and pervading our whole apostolate…

The challenges are many, but they could all be reduced to the need to inform ourselves, to become more sensitive and to carry out specific actions with regard to JPIC.  In short, it’s a question of synchronizing our minds (information), our hearts (sensitivity) and our feet (specific actions).

~From “What is JPIC?” by Fr. Jesus Maria Aristin, C.P.

The Passionist community realizes that JPIC is not just an action or a set of optional ministries but as the above quote suggests, it is a way of life.  This way of life is not something that naturally flows from our own competitive and insecure social environment and so we can find the lifestyle of justice, peace and integrity of creation challenging, countercultural and sometimes incomprehensible.

This site offers resources and programs that can help guide us towards such a lifestyle and understanding.  The JPIC office offers a monthly Passionist social reflection and a weekly lectionary reflection.

Below is a list of resources we offer.  They can be viewed and printed using Adobe Reader.
