“Through a consecrated life. I remember back 70 years ago when I was seeking meaning in my life, even in my teenage young life. I can still recall the feeling I had at that time of how frail and ephemeral were the joys I felt then. Perhaps the rather early deaths of my four grandparents, one after another, made such an impression on me at the time.

Surely the example of the parish priest and the sisters were astrong influence on me as I searched for meaning and what the future would holdfor me. Somehow I found strength in visiting the church and the school chapel, especially when I felt troubled. I discovered the help I needed in that kind of youthful prayer. I gradually felt attracted to a consecrated life as having deepest meaning. Then the Passionists came into my life!

I fully recognize the faith my parents instilled in me, and the part played by good friends to keep me out of trouble. The Lord thus became my meaning and my way in life.”
