“Step out of my comfort zone. I can serve God inmany ways. God’s authentic ministers are those who take Jesus’ attitude of the servant-leader, which is about kneeling or bending down to wash others’  feet. It is also to minister and be ministered to, by those who are at the margins of our society.

To serve God is to step out of my comfort and familiar zone and risk my life for those whom God loves and prefers to bless: the poor in spirit, the mourning, the meek, the hungry and thirsty for righteousness, the merciful, the pure of heart, the peacemakers, and the persecuted for the sake of righteousness (Mt. 5:3-10).

As a Passionist, I can serve God as an itinerant missionary, a preacher in one of our retreat centers,a pastor in one our parishes, a chaplain, a social worker, and a teacher, to name a few. With all our human abilities and limitations, we attempt to serve God in all people without exception, because God simply loves all people without exception. Therefore, we preach Christ and Him crucified by witnessing to the living memory of His Passion in all the poor, the oppressed, and suffering we serve through our various ministries.”
