“Share in the distress of all, offer them comfort. Our vocation as Passionists is to reach out and to relieve the burden of their sorrow.

My ministry is as a chaplain in an urban hospital. Over 70% of people in our country pass away in hospitals, and Christ’s Passion is ever present in the distress of the poor, in the mental, emotional and financial agonies that are suffered, in the sweat of real blood. It is my privilege to be there with people in these situations. It’s like I’m with Christ, I’m alone with him, over and over and over.”
