I’ve been trying, each and every day, no matter what’s going on, to remember to say ‘Thank you, God, thank you for the enormous blessings in my life.’ Things may feel really lousy on a given day, but the bottom line is that just being alive is a crazy, wonderful, mysterious gift and I am lucky to have it.

I think trying to live with a loving heart in this uncertain world is in itself an act of gratitude. And I think expressions of gratitude through volunteering and financial support are extremely important. It can be so hard to make that leap of faith and give generously of my time and money. I worry about having enough! So I need to remember that it’s never really about the time OR the money, it’s about trusting in the life-giving power of generosity.”
